PENNINGTON CEMETERY (BLACK)

 

As this cemetery shares a common fence with the Pennington Cemetery, the same directions apply.  To locate Pennington Cemetery from Groveton, TX, take US 287-North 12 miles to the Pennington sign.  Turn right & go into town.  At the country store & Farm to Market road 358, turn right & go about one mile.  The cemetery is on the right side of the road.

This cemetery also sustained heavy tornado damage.  Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gaskin, Sr., of Point Blank, Texas, read these markers in 1990.   The cemetery was again surveyed in 2004 by TCHC Cemetery Committee Members: Virginia Buckle Arnold, Mary Lee Mason Abshier, Barbara Threadgill and Gary Magee.  Finalized on March 9, 2004.  You may contact the cemetery association through Trinity County Historical Commission,  P.O.
