CALVER-WHITE to exchange vows   

Mr. and Mrs. James Steven Calver, of Savannah, GA, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Sue Calver, to Jason Lake White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robbin White, of Savannah. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of  Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Parker, of Carthage, Evelyn Calver and the late Dr. James L. Calver and Lela M. Calver, all of Charlottesville, Va. She is a Jenkins High School graduate. The prospective groom is  the grandson of Hal White Sr. and Genevieve Hensel White, of Chicago, IL, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Zawadski, of Brookfield, IL. He is a Fort Collins High School graduate and attended Texas Christian and Colorado State Universities. Both are employed by The Champion Corporation, a national aquatic management firm, and  coach for Savannah Swim Team. Both will continue their education at Armstrong Atlantic State University. The wedding is planned for August 4, 2001 at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Wasden III.

CHEMA-RUTHERFORD set wedding date

Cynthia Chema, of Houston, and Kevin Rutherford, of Fort Worth, will unite in marriage at 2 PM August 4, 2001 at First Baptist Church in Jefferson. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony in the Excelsior House in Jefferson. The bride-elect is the daughter of James and Patricia Hood, and the granddaughter of Thelma Hood and Evelyn Clark, all of Houston. She is a graduate of Willis High School in Willis, and the University of Houston. She is employed by Sodexho Mariott food service for Panola College. The prospective groom is the son of Don and Gloria Rutherford, of Arlington, and the grandson of Buck and Helen Bridewell, of Glen Rose, and Pete and Winnie Rutherford, of Santa Ana. He is a graduate of North Shore High School in Houston, the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, and received his degree from Baylor University in Waco. He is employed by Panola College. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the ceremony. The couple will reside at Lake Cherokee.

HARKNESS-GRAY announce engagement

Wayne and Shirley Harkness, of Center are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Kelli Michelle Harkness to Brandon Leith Gray, of Center. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jean Brooks, of Carthage and the great niece of Dortha Ramsey and the late Kelly Ramsey, of Carthage. She is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and is employed by First Baptist Church in Center. The prospective groom is the son of Gene and Betty Gray, of Center. The wedding will be held at 2pm August 18, 2001 at First Baptist Church in Center. The couple will reside in Center.

Glendell Roberts and Clarence Chadwick, of Carthage, invite everyone to share in their joy of exchanging their vows and beginning their new life together at 6 PM August 4, 2001 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. The prospective groom is vice president of Industrial Relations at Grocery Supply in Houston. The bride-elect is employed by Carthage Independent School District as an educational diagnostician for Carthage, Beckville, and Gary schools. She is also the owner of Knowledge Nook Day Care. A reception will follow immediately after the ceremony.

WISE-JIMERSON plan August nuptials

Mrs. Pat Wise, of Garland, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wise, of Dallas, are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kristina Page Wise, of Arlington, to Philip Bret Jimerson, of Virginia Beach, VA. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.  Ralph Wise, of Longview, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bill Williams, of Houston. She is a 1997 graduate of Southwest Texas State University and received her Master's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has taught for the Grand Prairie School District. The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Jimerson, of Grand Prairie, formerly of Carthage. he is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Jacobs and the late J. D. Jimerson, and Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Henigan, all of Carthage. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, his Master's in government policy from Regent University in Virginia Beach, and will graduate in May from Regent University with a degree in law. Their wedding is planned for August 4, 2001 at First Baptist Church in Dallas.

Kristina Paige Wise and Philip Bret Jimerson were married August 4, 2001 at First Baptist Church in Dallas. John McKenzie, pastor of Hope Fellowship in Frisco, performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Pat Wise, of Garland, and Mr. And Mrs. Robert Wise, of Dallas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. And Mrs. Ralph Wise, of Longview, and the late Mr. And Mrs. Bill Williams, of Houston. She is a 1991 graduate of North Garland High School and graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1997. She received her Master’s degree in 2001 from the University of Texas at Arlington and has taught physical education at Crockett Elementary in Grand Prairie for the past three years.

The groom is the son of Mr. And Mrs. Phil Jimerson, of Grand Prairie, formerly of Carthage. He is the grandson of Mr. And Mrs. Jimmy Jacobs and the late J. D. Jimerson, and Mr. And Mrs. C. N. Henigan, all of Carthage. He is a 1990 graduate of Grand Prairie High School. He received his Master’s in public policy from Regent University in Virginia Beach, and will graduate in May from Regent University with a degree in law.

After a honeymoon trip in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will live in Virginia Beach.
