Communities & Early Schools

The communities and the early school districts in Panola County were so 
closely entwined that the same name applied to both in many instances.
The following information is taken from "The History of Panola County
TX", published in 1979 by the Panola County Historical Commission.  We
gratefully acknowledge the efforts of everyone who gathered information
for that history book.
