But I am sending along an outline of the Salter family. I will follow this with the references and sources of the information with more details. Then I will send the Bryant Family. I just had a delightful talk with a Charlie Hooper from Bobo. He is 84 yrs. He has a wealth of information on this area of Shelby and surrounding counties as far as remembering families and people. I think someone needs to get this down on tape or something. He helped me with the Salter and Bryant families. He knew the people I was looking for in Panola and Shelby. Louise Martin sent me his number.

Some of the information I received verbally from Ola Mae Bryant who currently lives in Los Angeles, California. She came to California with her infant son in the 1930's after her husband was murdered. I would like to dedicate this history to Stanford P. Bryant (1949-1991) and Rakmun Bryant-Vick (1979-) descendents of these two families.
