Earl H. Savoie

Earl H. Savoie, 70, of Orange, Texas died Sunday, March 7, 2004 at his home. His funeral will be Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Dorman Funeral Home. The Rev. Herman Savoie, brother of Earl Savoie, will officiate. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange with military honors provided by the Southeast Texas Veterans Service Group. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, Mr. Savoie was born August 19, 1933 to Eddie & Emily Savoie. He was a retired US Air Force veteran where he served as a supply sergeant. He was a Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #2775, and a member of Little Cypress Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Cynthia Savoie. He is survived by his wife Dixie S. Savoie of Orange; son Earl Savoie, Jr. of Orange; daughters Minette Milner and Daniellle Savoie, both of Jennings, LA., and Julie Keitel of Parker, Kansas; brothers James Savoie and Roy Savoie, both of Lafayette, and Herman Savoie of West Monroe, LA.; Barbara Hight of Lumberton; and eleven grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be George Perolio, Scottie Lawson, Larry Cooper, grandsons Blake Milner & Tyson Milner, and son-in-law Bill Milner. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Janise, Mathew Milner, and Carl Bullock.
