Robert L. Powers, 68, of Vidor died Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at his residence. A native of Village Mills, TX., he has lived in Vidor since 1966, and was a retired electrician after 32 years with PPG Plant in Beaumont, TX. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Myrta Mason Lodge #658 in Warren, TX., Vidor VFW #8246, and Galveston Scottish Rite where he was a 32nd degree Mason. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2006, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Claudene Powers of Vidor, sons, Jerry Evans of Vidor, Lee Powers of Sunset, FL., and Kyle Evans of Vidor, daughters, Debra Berryhill of Vidor, Darline Trussell of Arlington, TX., and Janet Villafano of Vidor, step-mother Margorie Foxworth of Doucette, TX., brothers, John Powers of Vidor, Thomas Foxworth of Doucette,TX., Joe Foxworth and Kenneth Foxworth both of Houston, TX., and Douglas Foxworth of Austin, TX., sisters, Barbara Briggs of Doucette, TX., and Rose Mary Tooke of WV., ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. His pallbearers will be Robert Trussell, Michael Trussell, Brandon Trussell, Nathan Lafleur, Adrian Villafano, and John Thrasher, honorary pallbearers are Henry Berryhill, Kim Trussell and Richard Villafano, Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The Kidney Center of Jasper, 930 Marvin Hancock Dr., Jasper, TX. 75951.
