N.D. Palmer, 71, of Orange, Texas, died Sunday, February 12, 2006, at Baptist Hospital in Orange. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2006, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Robert Netterville of First Baptist Church in Mauriceville. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in McLewis Community. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home in Orange. Mr. Palmer was born on February 28, 1934, in Sulphur, Oklahoma. He was the son of Onis Buren and Emily Celina (Perry) Palmer. He was owner of N.D. Palmer Homebuilders. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Justin Wendell Brewer. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jerrie Palmer of Orange; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Bobby King of Cotton Falls, Kansas, Diann Renay and Bruce Brodnax of Jasper; sons and daughters-in-law, Deryl Wayne and Bobbie Palmer, Ricky Lynn Palmer all of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Andrew Buren and Stephanie Palmer of Vinton, Louisiana; step-children, Glen, Carol and Marty McCormick; grandchildren, Katrena, Steffany, Christopher, Sterling, Andrew Buren II, Brandy, Kelly, Derly Wayne, Jr., Amy, Michel, Jennifer, Steven; six step-grand-children; twelve great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Larry Gene and Neta Jo Palmer of Sulphur, Oklahoma and aunt, Ossie Higgins of Duncanville, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Palmer, Clyde Mize, Chris Greer, Stewart Greer, Danny Collier, Tom Stephenson, and Cody Vance. Honorary pallbearers will be Jayson Arceneaux, Rocky Mize and Jarvis Buckley.
