Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Orange, with Reverend Sam Knight, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in the McLewis Community of Orange.
Visitation will be 5-10 p.m. Thursday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Mr. Slack was born in Belle Plain, Kansas on June 11, 1915, one of seven children born to Arthur J. and Rose L. (Goodnight) Slack and he was a graduate of the Wichita Business College in Wichita, Kansas.
On December 30, 1939, he married Rossaline G. "Teed" Pillsbury. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2003.
In 1947, LeRoy and Teed moved to Orange. He began a forty-year career as a draftsman with the B.F. Shaw Company, which later became DuPont Sabine River Works. He was a member of the Pipefitter Local #195 and the First Presbyterian Church in Orange.
Preceded in death by their grandson, Cody Slack, LeRoy is survived by his daughter, Judi Slack Landry and her husband John of Port Neches; son, Victor L. Slack and his wife Ann of Orange; grandchildren, Molly Lively of Beaumont, Nan Leger of Orange, Amanda Forsythe of Sabine Pass, Vicki Lynette Tubbleville of Port Arthur, Tiffany LeBlanc of Nederland, Tucker Slack of Aiken, South Carolina.
Also surviving are his great grandchildren, Lacey J. Lively, Johnny Ray Lively, Taylor Stringer, Anna Leger, Sophie Leger, Emily Leger, Mandy Mae Forsythe, Haleigh LeBlanc, Spencer LeBlanc, Logan LeBlanc, Stoney LeBlanc.
