Claiborne E. Clark

Claiborne E. Clark, 63, of Mauriceville, died February 13, 2004, at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2004, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend Lloyd Gibbs, nephew, will officiate. Burial will follow at Clark Cemetery in Starks, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A native of Starks, Louisiana, Mr. Clark was a longtime resident of Orange. He was an oil rigger for American Bridge and Penzoil and was also a heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Templin Clark, his parents, Ernest and Rettie Clark, and his sister, Pauline Gibbs. He is survived by his daughters, Casey Hooker, Cheryl Webb, Robin Kelley, and Liz Langston all of Mauriceville; sons, James Hooker of Mauriceville, Pat Clark, and Mike Clark both of Orange; sisters, Margaret Lynn Rachal of Leesville, LA, and Polly Baker of DeRidder, LA; brother, Creighton "Dusty" Clark of Ragley, Louisiana; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Claiborne was known for his quick sense of humor and will be missed by his family and many friends.
