Nettie Marie Addison, 86, of Orange died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell of Cove Baptist Church and Reverend Bob Boone of First Baptist Church of Bridge City. Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Kelly Watkins Haven of Rest Crematory. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Addison was born May 23, 1920, in Belleville, West Virginia to Henry Lakin and Sarah Elizabeth (Barton) Congrove. Mrs. Addison made her home in the Orange area for 40 years, where she enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, crocheting, cooking and baking. Mrs. Addison is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sarah Congrove. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Addison; stepsons and their wives, Tracy and Elaine Addison of Bridge City, Keith and Gail Addison, of Orange; nieces, Virginia Riggs of San Antonio, Vesta Jones of Santa Fe and Mary Romano of Little Cypress; twelve grandchildren and several sisters in West Virginia.
