SCRAPBOOK


The following marriage notice was found in the "Somerville Falcon" published on August 3,  1871;  this may be seen on microfilm at the Tennessee State Library & Archives.  The marriage itself  took place in Jefferson, Texas, but the bride was from Fayette Co.,  TN.

"MARRIED On Wednesday evening,  July 12th,  at the Cumberland Church, by Rev. N. P. Modrall,  Mr. Chas. W. GARLAND to Mrs. Helen KEE,   of Somerville,  Tenn. - Jefferson (Texas) Jeffersonian."


KELLYVILLE, Marion County, Tx was named for George A. Kelly and was home to his business, the Kelly Plow Co. which he started there in 1863.
