ROPESVILLE (Special) - Memorial services for Leroy Carothers, 62, of Ropesville will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Kinch, pastor, officiating.
Cremation will be under direction of Calvillo Funeral Home of Lubbock.
Carothers died Tuesday, July 22, 1997, at his residence.
He was born July 16, 1935, in Dickens County. He married Barbara Odom on April 20, 1957, in Ropesville. He was a Baptist, and he moved to Ropesville from Lubbock in 1972.
He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Roy, Clint and Roger, all of Lubbock; his mother, Mirtle Carothers of Spur; two sisters, Agnus Williams and Linda Dement, both of Lubbock; two brothers, Alvin and Bill, both of Afton; and a grandchild.
